Finding the Perfect Pumpkin

Frosted Designs is challenging us to share our projects created with handmade embellishments!  I have a few on this layout of our visit to the pumpkin patch last fall.  Last fall??  Guess that means I'm not as far behind as I feared...YAY!  Though about halfway through making the layout I realized not a single pic I'd chosen for the layout actually showed us picking our pumpkins.  That's okay, there was just so much fun to be had there!!!  :)

I fussy cut the pumpkins out of a sheet of patterned paper and then mounted them on chipboard and recut.  Had I thought it out in advance, I probably would have adhered it THEN fussy cut.  I also cut the flags labeled 'PUMPKIN' from a piece of patterned paper to make a banner.  :) :) Thanks for taking a look!

Kids at Play - SOS 56

The challenge over at Shopping Our stash this week is STICKERS.  So I picked some white glittery chipboard sticker swirls and letters and sponged on some coordinating ink to change their color.  I also chose to add in some tiny type letters to 'round out' the title.

The fencing turned out to be my very favorite part!  I didn't have a cricut cart that would do it for me and then I found an idea shared on pinterest and decided to give it a try.  VOILA....perfect fencing!  Just cut two thin strips as long as you want your fence to be.  Then cut out shorter wider strips cut down to how tall you want your fence to be.  After snipping the tops off to a triangular shaped (I just eyeballed it and am perfectly happy with the results, but you could always measure down on the back a set amount on each), I glued them down over the top of the long strips 1/8 inch from each other.  I love how easy it was to get such a cool embellishment!  :)

Father's Day Coupon Book

This week over at Paper Hoarders, our theme is Father's Day.  There was also an optional sketch you can follow.  I started off with the sketch as you can tell from the tag shape I kicked off the project with, but along the embellishment path, I strayed a bit.  :)

For Father's Day this year, the kiddos and I decided to give hubby a coupon book.  So we picked some of his most hated chores and gave him a get out of it free coupon.  Also a few coupons for his favorite things to do.  I got a little corny and made little rhymes for each coupon, I'll share them at the end of this post, but warning they are super corny!  LOL.  :)

Thanks for always making sure we have clean dishes.
You having a break from them is just one of our wishes.
